Self Care Sunday

Take time out of your busy schedule to join us in a Sunday ritual. The class will consist of a 60 minute candlelit Yin class followed by 30 minutes of meditation and reflection informed by yogic philosophy. You will experience postures primarily done on the floor or against the wall with supportive blocks, blankets and bolsters. Poses are held for a longer period of time allowing you to indulge and stretch connective tissue. In addition to the candle lit practice, you can expect to experience some aromatherapy, guided mediation and time for journaling and reflection. You’ll leave feeling balanced, connected and ready to start the week feeling refreshed!

Free for members, $20 drop-in for non-members.  Register for class here

Why Yoga? I come back to my mat to find a deeper connection with myself- mind, body, breath and spirit. My practice challenges my self-imposed limits, creating space for my body to surprise me in its strength, endurance and grace. I take this off my mat by practicing patience and compassion and letting go of things or thoughts that no longer serve me. Whenever I need grounding, I know a few deep breaths and some time on my mat will bring me back to center. Who or what inspires you? I am inspired by authentic, powerful and soft women who live and love big! By the words of Rumi, Maya Angelou and Beyonce. Three Words that Describe your Teaching Style: Powerful. Breathy. Communal. Where is your calm place? I feel the most at peace in or surrounded by water, especially Lake Tahoe! Current guilt pleasure? Searching the web for a puppy to adopt
