Our 200- hour Teacher Training is designed to lead you on a path of self-discovery and leadership.
Facilitated by Emma Stern, (E-RYT 200 – Laughing Lotus College of Yoga, San Francisco. Yoga Instructor since 2014 with over 1000 teaching hours. Has completed additional training in power yoga, traditional hot yoga, yoga sculpt, and trauma sensitive yoga. Also teaches barre, and TRX, and is in graduate school studying somatic psychology.)

(E-RYT 200—Just Be Yoga Walnut Creek; teaching since 2014), you will deepen your practice beyond what you thought was possible and leave being able to confidently and comfortably guide students through a yoga class (with equal amounts of compassion and expertise).

(RYT 200—White Lotus Foundation in Santa Barbara, studying under Ganga White and Tracy Rich; 100 hour Therapeutic Yoga training under Harvey Deutch), you will learn how the skeletal, muscular, nervous, endocrine, cardiovascular & respiratory systems relate to the asanas.
What To Expect
You will learn how to teach an accessibly challenging alignment based all levels power yoga class. You will be encouraged to be the best version of yourself as a student and teacher, who creates and maintains an environment of safety, kindness, and compassion for yourself and those around you. You will challenge yourself in new ways, overcome physical and emotional obstacles, and establish a deeper connection with your body and self. Most importantly you will have fun!
During our time together we will empower you to explore and discover your personal strengths in a (dually, caring and disciplined) environment through ample opportunities for you to build your skills by practice teaching; instruction in hands-on adjustments and assists; dialogue concerning community building as well as personal development; analysis of foundational Yoga texts; and discussion of the ethics and principles of Yoga as both a philosophical and physical practice.

Primarily Ashtanga Vinyasa and Power Yoga, but also prepares students to teach yin, hatha, and restorative.

How to sequence safely and effectively

Learn safe and effective assists
Learn the 8-limb Path of Yoga

Chakra system and the psychological, emotional, and elemental function of the bodies seven primary energy centers
Learn the basics of teaching prenatal yoga
Learn advanced asana and physical themes necessary to guide students into advanced poses
Review safe alignment for major yoga postures in extensive detail
Learn effective teaching communication tactics
How to create a life changing experience for students through teaching classes that appropriately challenging for all levels while promoting physical and emotional safety through incorporating trauma sensitivity and injury awareness
Graduates will be able to register with the Yoga Alliance as a 200-HR RYT
